ASLA Library and Education Advocacy Fund

The ASLA Fund

ONGOING INITIATIVES
The ASLA Library and Education Advocacy Fund seeks to expand the body of knowledge of the landscape architecture profession, to promote the value of landscape architecture, and to increase public understanding of environmental and land use issues and principles. The ASLA Fund supports ASLA research, library, archives, awards, and professional education programs. The ASLA Fund is a 501 (c) 3 organization and contributions are tax-deductible to the extent allowed by law.

The Professional Practice Library, sponsored by McGraw-Hill Construction, features the Landscape Architect Registration Examination: A Guide for Professional Development, the Landscape Architecture Technical Information Series (LATIS), sample contract documents, Annual Meeting Proceedings, Desktop Seminars, and the Landscape Architecture Directory, among other great informational resources.

The ASLA Fund also supports the ASLA Awards Program, including the Firm Award, the Landmark Award, the Community Service Award, and the Professional Awards. Awards celebrate professional achievements, but they also provide outreach and education to clients and to the public at large. The 2003 Professional Awards program drew nearly 500 entries, including many international entries, providing great opportunities to raise landscape architects’ visibility and increase appreciation for the profession.
